DPP #22

Joshua and I spent a wonderful afternoon with my mom at the SAS Shoe Factory.  They have a general store that has antique cars and toys on display.  Joshua loves to explore every time we go with Abuelita.

A little late on my 21st picture.  Ferris wheels scare me...I know, big baby.... but the moving of the seat as it's turning freak me out.  However, I do think they're beautiful.

DPP #16

Every December the playground at Joshua's pre-school is transformed into a Winter Wonderland for the annual Christmas Program. There is nothing cuter than watching 2 and 3 yr olds singing and dancing. The teachers and owner of the school do such and amazing job with their tiny students!

DPP #15

For some reason Joshua decided that today is his birthday.  We tried to tell him that his birthday is not until May but he insisted.  When we were at Target Papa bought him some balloons.  When we got home they played with the balloons 'til Papa got tired.  Even Steven joined in on the balloon fun.  In the end I decided if Joshua wants to think it's his birthday everyday that's fine.  It just means that he feels special and loved.

This picture reminds me that sometimes you find what you need where you least expect it.  Since doing the December Photo Project I have intentionally been looking for interesting and artistic things or people to photograph.  Joshua is usually my model since he's the only one that doesn't run away when I bring out the camera.  As I was looking for my shot for the today I was adjusting the camera settings and accidentally took a picture.  And there it was..a streetlight transformed into a Christmas star.  Is it my message for the day?  Maybe.  I have been feeling as if I need "something".  Here I am done with my second masters and it seems as if I need "something" else.  But more on that later.  My lesson for today is to be open to findind stars even in the most mundane things.

I love candles.  They have a way of calming me down after a busy day and an endless faculty meeting.

Our Spring flowers are still hanging in there....maybe it's because of the angel watching over them.
